The Blue Toon produced a cracking performance to beat Stenhousemuir by three goals to one at Balmoor to send them through to the semi-finals of the competition.
Man of the Match Dennis Wyness bagged a brace – his goals falling either side of Conor Gethins’ superb volley – as Peterhead comfortably defeated a side who had earlier beaten them in the league this season.
The result will be a huge confidence boost for the team, who have yet to find the winning touch in the league, but following this positive performance and result, the Blue Toon will go into their tough-looking match with table-toppers Livingston (at home) with a spring in their step.
