<itunes:summary>This week's show is our 50th - a landmark show we're sure you'll agree. Considering we started doing this just as a bit of a mess around, we're genuinely surprised we've reached the big five-oh, but that's thanks to everyone who subscribes, downloads and streams the show on a weekly basis. We're amazed you do (others may be amazed you do, too) but we love you for it, so thanks.

We'd love to tell you that, for our 50th show, we had something particularly special in store. In fact it was little different to any other show, with one notable exception - a rocket and watercress salad, which became a surprise star of the show towards the end of our Pubcast.

We cover all the usual, the latest results, the weird stories of the week, our cult heroes (centre midfielders this week) and an update on our adopted team, Melbourne Heart. Stu's rabbits will be delighted...

Enjoy the show and here's to the next 50!

<itunes:summary>Kicking off a new season of The Football Pubcast, we have a bumper show, recorded earlier this week at Henry Addington's in Canary Wharf.

To mark the occasion, former Pubcast regulars Simon Pitney and Michael Coxon return to get the season underway, plus we meet the Pubcast's newest member, Dan Silver (we should point out at this juncture we should point out that he's not the same Dan Silver who runs MirrorFootball, despite them working in the same building!).

On a packed show we share our predictions for the Premier League, Championship, League One, League Two and the Conference Premier, while looking forward to the season ahead.

<itunes:summary>For our 40th show Simon, Dan, Jim and Stu paid the pub a visit to chat about the various goings on in the world of football.

The FIFA presidency issue has been done to death, so we kept that bit quite short - Simon could have gone on for ages - and instead concentrated on the on-pitch action that we've enjoyed during the past week.

On this week's show:

- We look back at the Football League Playoff finals
- Simon tries (and fails) to get the lads to talk about the Champions League final
- Lionel Messi is the best player of all time? Discuss
- Our ridiculously early (and therefore largely pointless) Premier League 2011-2012 relegation predictions
- Dan uses the catchphrase of the season, "Stay on your feet"
- Why Jim is shedding his skin like some sort of reptile

It's all here in a little over half an hour of pub-based chat, recorded alfresco, thanks to some Canary Wharf sun.</itunes:summary>

On this week's show Simon, Jim and Lemmo take a look ahead to all three of the big Football League Playoff finals, with the League One and League Two games being played at Old Trafford and the Championship match being played at Wembley this weekend.

They also select their Champions League Final Ultimate XI from the Manchester United and Barcelona sides, and give their predictions for the European Cup Final.
