    Pubcast #103: Keeping It Clean

After a very eventful week in the footballing world and a Super Sunday with more talking points than you could shake a stick at, the boys headed down to Henry’s for the usual routine. This week saw a really good mix of chat, piss taking and serious debate between Dan, Jim, Sean and Jerome. There was also a very valuable lesson learnt today (as you can see from the show photo), that if any of the guys were ever thinking of soiling themselves, they wouldn’t be allowed in Henry’s! Good to know! Also on this week’s show:

    • Mark Clattenburg
    • Super Sunday
    • Luis Suarez – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    • Wiltshire’s return

    Pubcast #102: Sticky Business

This week, one of the Pubcast team fulfils a lifelong ambition live on the show… finally completing a Panini sticker album. A momentous occasion, we’re sure you’ll all agree. Not that the past week’s football has been any less exciting – so the boys had plenty to discuss as always

WARNING: This week someone other than Jim was trusted with recording the show. They failed. Unfortunately this means as a one-off there may be a few seconds of repeats during the show; regular listeners will be used to us repeating ourselves, to everyone else we apologise

    This week…

    • The demise of Ceefax
    • Eddie Howe on the move
    • ‘Kick it out’ – The future

    Pubcast #101: The Football Puncast

The boys were in high spirits as they sojourned to the pub to discuss the week’s footballing action, resulting in some truly debatable mum-based banter and some downright awful pun-based gags.

When they weren’t throwing sailor themed witticisms at Dan Silver, the topics of discussion were:

    • Villa into Room 101
    • To dive or not to dive?
    • The pies at Kidderminster
    • Mexicans Out
    • Edgar Davids – three months max?
    • Palace’s Crystal girls

Pubcast #100: Ninety-Nine More Than We Thought

This week saw the Football Pubcast reach a huge milestone, the 100th Episode! Who’d have thought that when Simon Head first recruited a band of misfits to chat about all things football, the show would come this far! A special mention has to go to all of the listeners who’ve given the boys a reason to keep recording every week (and given them an excuse to go to the pub)! On this week’s show there was not only a full squad out but also a cameo from the Godfather himself. After the initial centenary celebrations were over, the boys sat down to discuss the week’s football including; the England squad for the upcoming qualifiers, worst injuries in football, a surprise package from the guys at FFDU and much much more…..

    • Jim’s history lesson
    • Glossop North End
    • Stand out and stand down performances of the week

Pubcast #99: Should have gone to Dixons

The boys were back in the boozer after a bumper week of footy action, with plenty of thrills and spills on and off the pitch to discuss, including a huge result for one of our pubcasters’ teams – Aston Villa’s creditable point against local rivals WBA. Tune in to find out how long Dan and Mike spent discussing Utd vs Spurs (SPOILER ALERT: about 8 minutes) and whether or not Dan picked Spurs as his performance of the week (SPOILER ALERT: he did). Also on the show:

    Pubcast #98: Party Like it’s 1999

This week’s show is packed full with all the usual chat and irrelevance you’ve come to expect from the FootballPubcast – even though the boys were struggling with the revelation that players making their debuts will soon have been born since the turn of the millennium. Once they’d recovered sufficient composure Show #98 shapes up like this…

    • Jamaica @World Cup 1998
    • Batigol’s construction firm
    • Stand Out & Stand Down performances
    • Football League round-up

    Another Fine Miss

On Show #98, live tomorrow for your listening pleasure, Pubcast host Jim talks up his teams new loan signing in the shape of USA International Robbie Findley

It’s certainly a good signing for League 2 Gillingham, this fella started against England in the last World Cup, but his career hasn’t been without it’s low points…
