Pubcast #38: Coffee, Rappers, Suspenders and Soft Boiled Grapes

This week’s instalment of The Football Pubcast was more “loose” than usual, as Stu, Jim and Simon grabbed a pint to discuss the beautiful game.

    On this week’s slightly-shorter-than-usual offering:

    – Why a Brazilian mixed martial artist gave Simon his coffee

    – Find out which rapper was spotted wearing a Queens Park Rangers kit

    – Hear Jim mangle the English language with the use of the word “suspenders”

Pubcast #35: Miracle, Lemmo, Anti-Players and Scuba

On this week’s show we introduce our newest Pubcaster, Sheffield United fan Tom “Lemmo” Lemons, and take a look back at a packed weekend of footballing action.

    – What did Arsenal fan Dan think of his team’s performance against Liverpool?

    – Who would Lemmo have nominated for the final striker position for the Pubcast XI?

    – Which young midfielder could become the next hero of the Gallowgate End?

    – For which Danny Baker-inspired end-of-season award can YOU guarantee a winner from YOUR club?

    – Did Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler manage to beat Janine from Eastenders in the London Marathon?

    – And why isn’t it advisable to go Scuba diving if you suffer from flatulence?

The answers to these questions, plus a whole lot more, are contained within our latest show, which you can listen to now using the player below, or by subscribing via the iTunes Music Store using the button on the right of the screen.

Pubcast #34: Landlord, Fine, Jogger and “Cravice”

On this week’s Football Pubcast Simon tries (in vain, one suspects) to get a Football League player into the Pubcast All-Star XI, Mike reveals which Salford-based club’s manager he’d want running his local pub and Jim invents a brand new word.

Oh yes, and Stu was caught checking out the arse of a jogger as he ran past. He liked his shorts, apparently…

    Here’s what’s on this week’s show:

    – Footballing Landlords: Which footballing character would you like to see running your local pub?

    – Rooney’s ban: Were the FA right? Was the ban appropriate?

    – Who Are You: To mark the tenth anniversary of his death, Jim profiles Arsenal great David “Rocky” Rocastle.

All that, and much more, can be found on this week’s episode of The Football Pubcast.

Pubcast #33: Duck Tales, Donkey Botherers, Mantie and Pitney

For the first time since our first ever show we had six Pubcasters around the table for a show as we debated the burning footballing issues of the week.

Joining Simon, Dan, Mike, Stu and Jim this week was original Pubcaster Simon Pitney, who contributed plenty of questions – and plenty of facial hair – to proceedings.

    Here’s what’s on this week’s show:

    – Pitney’s Posers: The returning Mr Pitney quizzes each Pubcaster about a footballing issue he wants answered

    – Phone a Friend: Which professional footballer would the Pubcasters call on if they were on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

    – Wales v England: Were England actually THAT good, or were the Welsh simply THAT bad?

    – “U good. U very good.” South Africa’s answer to John Terry

    – Plus all the regular Pubcast features

You can listen to this week’s show using the player below, or you can subscribe via the iTunes Music Store using the button on the right of the screen.
