    Pubcast 114: ‘Ed in Hands

The Pubcast team returned after a baron week (down to technology/Jim Staples issues) to digest a week of match postponements, major shocks and ball boy abuse. Jerome was mourning Villa’s demise and raging about everything else, Sean was mulling over Palace losing their star man, Mike was snoring while watching AFCON 2013 and Dan was salivating over an Italian legend. They discussed all that and more…

    • Capital One Cup fall out – Bradford make final, Hazard boots ball boys
    • Postponements throughout Football League
    • Managerial changes – Pochettino to Southampton, Hill back to Rochdale
    • Sydney boot Wellington for 7 – Dan loves Del Piero
    • Ronaldinho returns for Brazil
    • Materazzi mocks Benitez
    • Transfer news – Zaha to United? David Villa to the Premier League?
    • Football goes down the toilet – Puncheon’s toilet break and Congo’s goalkeeper gets worms
    • Adam Le Fondre – Super Sub
    • Fabrice Muamba to become a Dad again
    • Ryan Nelsen’s lengthy QPR spell comes to an end

Hmm is anyone else having problems with the pictures on this blog loading?
I’m trying to determine if its a problem on my end or if it’s the blog.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Pubcast #103: Keeping It Clean

After a very eventful week in the footballing world and a Super Sunday with more talking points than you could shake a stick at, the boys headed down to Henry’s for the usual routine. This week saw a really good mix of chat, piss taking and serious debate between Dan, Jim, Sean and Jerome. There was also a very valuable lesson learnt today (as you can see from the show photo), that if any of the guys were ever thinking of soiling themselves, they wouldn’t be allowed in Henry’s! Good to know! Also on this week’s show:

    • Mark Clattenburg
    • Super Sunday
    • Luis Suarez – The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
    • Wiltshire’s return
    • Billy Sharp’s Great South Run
    • AFC Wimbledon’s new stand
    • Adam Chapman’s burnt nipple
    • Ben Turner turns down Wales
    • Japanese Robot Toilet Goalkeepers

    Pubcast #102: Sticky Business

This week, one of the Pubcast team fulfils a lifelong ambition live on the show… finally completing a Panini sticker album. A momentous occasion, we’re sure you’ll all agree. Not that the past week’s football has been any less exciting – so the boys had plenty to discuss as always

WARNING: This week someone other than Jim was trusted with recording the show. They failed. Unfortunately this means as a one-off there may be a few seconds of repeats during the show; regular listeners will be used to us repeating ourselves, to everyone else we apologise

    This week…

    • The demise of Ceefax
    • Eddie Howe on the move
    • ‘Kick it out’ – The future
    • Dougie Freedman to Bolton…or is he?
    • Paul Jewell skips interview, then work the next day
    • Hasting United into the FA Cup 1st round
    • Edgar Davids – MOM performance
    • Western Sydney Wanderers – Plus Emile Vs Alessandro
    • Naughty boys of the week, including a 36 man brawl and Quaresma exposing himself
    • Hero of the week – Leonardo Bonucci taking on a masked gun man
    • Aston Villa Ladies, win again!!!
    • Ballotelli snubbed by Nikki Minaj for Nandos
    • New Greenock Morton supporters

    Pubcast #96: JFT96

Today’s pubcast was recorded after David Cameron’s historic address to Parliament in the wake of the latest report into 1989’s tragic disaster at Hillsborough Stadium. We discuss some of the report’s findings, including evidence of a truly shocking and widespread cover-up, and pay tribute to the 96 innocent fans who lost their lives so needlessly on a Saturday afternoon at the football.

Whilst days like today put things into perspective, football carries on, and we wouldn’t be the Football Pubcast if we didn’t give the week’s on and off-field action a passing mention. Amongst the other topics covered were:

    • World Cup Qualifying including wins for Jamaica and Colombia
    • Some other games involving home nations
    • Steven Fletcher’s Scottish exile
    • “Hilarious” Chris Coleman quotes
    • Papiss Cisse wondergoal
    • Football league round-up
    • ‘Arry Redknapp back to Bournemouth
    • Del Piero to Sydney FC
    • Nobby Solano’s trumpet
    • Jim’s love for Steve Evans, and the latter’s 6 match STADIUM ban
    • Hot Gossip about Dan’s Mum
    • Dan #learningtodescribebetter
    • Jens Lehman’s Paralympic dreams
    • Some very, very naughty boys
    • Richard Kingson’s naughty wife
    • New iTunes review & shout outs
    • And much more quality “banter” from the “lads”
